straight A's

My sweet little Annalia is a very smart little girl. SHe made all A's on her report card. I am so proud of her. She is also starting to read. She is such an amazing child and wants to learn all she can about everything.

Lainey, on the other hand is a little sassy child and cares more about her lipstick than her school work. Don't get me wrong, she is learning a lot in preschool and from Annalia, but she loves her girly clothes and lipstick.

2010

ok, It's been a while since my last post, so I guess I'll update ya'll now. Christmas was great. The girls got lots of princess presents and Lainey also had a great birthday. So now, I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. Time flies when you are always working and raising kids. Brad is back working in the ER and happier and well, I am still working nights and loving it. Life is going great for us. We didn't do much to ring in the new year because Brad had to work and Lainey had surgery on New Year's Eve. She did fine and was back to her little sassy self again after a few days. We have a lot of plans for 2010 and hope God blesses us with a great outcome in all that we do. Well that's about all for now! --RM

Thankful Hearts

Well it's been a while since I have blogged so I am sitting down now to update you all. Annalia started school in August and absolutely loves it! She was selected as the student of the month for August and We are so proud of her. She is learning more and more everyday. Lainey Grace also started preschool recently. She is loving it and is also learning a lot. We are so blessed to have been graced with 2 beautiful children. I love my girls and can't remember what I did without them. As for Brad and I, we are still working night shift and staying busy. We are enjoying our new home and growing closer to one another everyday. We owe it all to God and are so thankful for everything he is blessing us with on a daily basis. I guess that's about it for now. I will try to post some Fall pictures soon.---Until next time----take care---RM

Spring Update...

Spring is in the Air... Well, it's March and I now have a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Annalia turned 5 on March 16th. She had an awesome pottery party with a princess cake. Everyone had a blast.
On another note, we are building a house and hope to be in this summer. The exterior walls are up and the inside is framed. Well that's all for now. -RM

Rushed and busy...

OK, so I know it's been a little over 2 months since my last blog, but life has been extra busy lately. I would say that I think it will slow down soon, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. So I will give you a quick little update on the family and then it's off to run more errands.
Annalia is about to be 5 in March and is so excited. I am still in shock that my baby will be in school next fall. I still remember the day we brought her home from the hospital. She was so tiny and fragile and now she can do it all by herself, so she thinks. We have been planning her birthday celebration and she has picked everything out herself. I will post pictures after her big event. As far as school goes, she is improving everyday. She can write her numbers to 100 and write her whole name. I am so proud of her for all her accomplishments . As many of you may not know, Annalia is left handed and has had a hard time learning to write. I give the credit to her patient teacher at school and to God for all her accomplishments. Mrs. Melissa at FBCV preschool is awesome with Annalia and has taught her lots. I am very grateful for her. Annalia is a little spitfire at times and can be difficult to teach. She gets mad and just wants to quit, but Mrs. Melissa does not give up on her. Don't get me wrong Annalia is very smart, but just has a hard time expressing her smarts in writing. She sees everyone else writing so quickly and it takes her a little extra time because she is left handed. Other than that she is doing great.

On another note out little Lainey is a handful. She is so different than Annalia. She doesn't like to get dirty, she loves covers, and to be dressed at all times. She loves to go places and stays into everything. She looks up to her big sister and thinks she can do everything Annalia can do. For the most part they play well together. Sometimes, they fight, but that's normal.

As for Brad and myself, I feel like all we do is pass. We are both on night shift now and extremely busy. We have been extra busy at work lately and haven't really had much time together. I can't wait for this summer so we can have a little more time together. We are in need of a vacation, but it doesn't fit in our budget at this point in our lives.

Happy 2nd Birthday Lainey Grace

My little birthday diva. Lainey Grace turns two on December 20, 2008. I can't believe it has been two years since we brought our 2nd little princess into this world. I feel so blessed to have 2 beautiful, healthy, sweet little girls that I can call my own.
We celebrated Miss Lainey's birthday on December 19 @ Not Too Little Play Center. The kids had a blast. As you might have notice from the pictures, Lainey loves SpongeBob and had a great night. Thanks for everyone who came and helped make her 2nd birthday a hit. I hope we have many more to spend with her. She is her own little world all wrapped up into a little sassy package. She loves jewelry, fru fru skirts, spongebob, purses, and just being free to do as she pleases. She is a bundle of joy and I don't know what we would do without her in our family. She sure keeps us laughing.
I am also so proud of Annalia for being the best big sister in the world. Lainey looks up to her so much and she is a great big sister. Don't get me wrong, they have their little tiffs, but all in all they love one other very much. Annalia helped me do a lot to prepare for Lainey's big event and I am so thankful she was not jealous a bit. She was so excited for Lainey.
God has shown us once again how blessed Brad and my self are and we are forever grateful. -RM

"Hark the Harry Angels sing"

Annalia had her annual Christmas program for school coming up, so as a good mom I ask her to sing me her songs so I could help her practice. She was so excited about her upcoming event that she belted out as loud as she could her songs. When she came to Her grand finale she sang "Hark the Harry Angels Sing, Glory to the Newborn King". I could not help myself, I burst out laughing and she said "momma, why are you laughing" I replied with the correct words and she quickly replied back with " no momma the angels are all named Harry." I them explained that this was in fact not the correct way to sing this song and she learned the right way and sang with great joy on the night of her great event. I am so proud of her. She has learned a lot in the 4 young years she has been with us and I thank God everyday for her. -RM
