Happy 2nd Birthday Lainey Grace

My little birthday diva. Lainey Grace turns two on December 20, 2008. I can't believe it has been two years since we brought our 2nd little princess into this world. I feel so blessed to have 2 beautiful, healthy, sweet little girls that I can call my own.
We celebrated Miss Lainey's birthday on December 19 @ Not Too Little Play Center. The kids had a blast. As you might have notice from the pictures, Lainey loves SpongeBob and had a great night. Thanks for everyone who came and helped make her 2nd birthday a hit. I hope we have many more to spend with her. She is her own little world all wrapped up into a little sassy package. She loves jewelry, fru fru skirts, spongebob, purses, and just being free to do as she pleases. She is a bundle of joy and I don't know what we would do without her in our family. She sure keeps us laughing.
I am also so proud of Annalia for being the best big sister in the world. Lainey looks up to her so much and she is a great big sister. Don't get me wrong, they have their little tiffs, but all in all they love one other very much. Annalia helped me do a lot to prepare for Lainey's big event and I am so thankful she was not jealous a bit. She was so excited for Lainey.
God has shown us once again how blessed Brad and my self are and we are forever grateful. -RM

"Hark the Harry Angels sing"

Annalia had her annual Christmas program for school coming up, so as a good mom I ask her to sing me her songs so I could help her practice. She was so excited about her upcoming event that she belted out as loud as she could her songs. When she came to Her grand finale she sang "Hark the Harry Angels Sing, Glory to the Newborn King". I could not help myself, I burst out laughing and she said "momma, why are you laughing" I replied with the correct words and she quickly replied back with " no momma the angels are all named Harry." I them explained that this was in fact not the correct way to sing this song and she learned the right way and sang with great joy on the night of her great event. I am so proud of her. She has learned a lot in the 4 young years she has been with us and I thank God everyday for her. -RM

A Few Christmas photos

2 year olds

This is one big reason why not to put a 2 year old in the bath tub hungry. The other night I put both girls in the bath tub for their nightly bath. It was a little early, so I hadn't feed them dinner yet. The plan was to get them bathed, feed and then put them to bed so I could go to bed early as I had been awake for 30 plus hours. I stepped out of the room to grab a towel and I hear Annalia scream "Momma, Lainey is eating the soap" I ran back into the bathroom to see Lainey spitting out the soap and saying "I hungry Momma" All I could do was laugh, the look on her face was priceless. I took a picture of the soap, but not her because she was naked. Hope ya'll get a good laugh as I did.--RM

Christmas is in the air

I kicked the season off with a 5am shopping spree on "black friday" to Wal-Mart in Ocean Springs and by 12pm we were in Spanish Fort, AL at the Bass Pro Shop. I know you must be thinking that I am crazy, but we went to the Bass Pro Shop to see Santa and his workshop. It was so neat. Annalia loved Santa, but Lainey was not to sure about him. We had a picture made and then it was time to grab a bite to eat and head back to Mississippi. The girls were exhausted at this point and slept all the way home. Which made for a very peaceful ride. It's such a wonderful time of the year! I can hardly keep all the girls presents a secret. I think that I get more excited than they do about all their stuff. I have been shopping like crazy and just enjoying the Christmas feeling in the air. This past friday night, we went to Bellingrath Gardens and had a blast. The girls both loved all the lights and flowers. It was such a joy to see how their little faces lite up with pure excitement from all the lights. We even saw Santa from a distance. Again, I ask Lainey if she wanted to see Santa and she still stuck to her guns and said "no Thanks, please." Well, that's all for now. --RM
